St M. delle Grazie, Leonardo’s church

The church dates in its original Gothic form from 1463-1480, and is attributed to Guiniforte Solari, who worked with his father on Milan Cathedral and the Certosa at Pavia. The dome and new east end were added by Bramante in 1492. It is called Leonardo's church because his fresco of the Last Supper is in the refectory there.
