See House Book 1 p.12, on the Palazzo Contarini degli Scrigni and Corfu at Dorsoduro 1057, Nadali & Vianello (1999) Tav. 50, House Number 11 in Ruskin’s system. It is made up of two linked buildings, one of the 15th Century, the other in classical style designed by Scamozzi. Scamozzi's work here was intended to fit the earlier building, and so makes an interesting comparison with his work on the Procuratie Nuove in St. Mark’s Square and on the extension of the Sansovino Library to join the Zecca - not of interest to Ruskin though, because it does not relate to his aims here. The Palazzo Contarini degli Scrigni is the later extension of the Gothic Contarini-Corfu.
