Ruskin is suggesting they were attributed to Calendario, traditionally architect of the Ducal Palace. However that misrepresents Zanotto’s point which concerned the style of one face of the building. Zanotto (1847) p.427 wrote: ‘Mostra lo stile della scuola de Calendario la decorazione della facciata verso la fondamenta dell’osmarin.’
