On the basis of Ruskin’s drawings of windows opposite House Book 2 p.21L this cannot be the Palazzo Coccina Tiepolo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal. This raises the questions - is there another Casa Papadopoli and what is the ‘curious helmeted house’? There is a Palazzo Forsesti-Papadopoli at S.Croce 250, Rio dei Tolentini. At 251 next to it is a house with a curved upper section of roof that could be described as ‘helmeted’. But the Papodopoli is not a Gothic building. See It is Casa Papadopoli.
