Ca’ Magno (S. Marco 4038, Nadali & Vianello (1999) Tav. 29). The ‘Teatro’ is the former Teatro Rossini: the name must have been changed to Teatro San Benedetto in Ruskin’s day. This palace is Ca’ Magno which has a canal façade on the Rio di San Luca and a street entrance with an ancient door in Campielo della Chiesa near S. Lucca. The Post office referred to above was Palazzo Grimani (S. Marco 4042 Nadali & Vianello (1999) Tav. 29). See House Book 1 p.45; Door Book p.8 (Door No. 8) and Bit Book p.21L. Also Works, 10.344 (facing) ‘Door Heads, 2. In Campiello della chiesa. San Luca.’
See Hewison et al (2000). House Book 1 45L and 45 was open as Exhibit No 94, p.116.
