to materials pageIn January 2003, when we ran the pilot investigation in Lancaster, at the beginning of the course we gave each student a hard copy handbook containing essential useful information about the course and how to access it. We also put a copy of the handbook on the course discussion site (the Language and Style Chat Cafe) so that students could access it electronically if they wanted. We attach a copy below for information, which collaborators might like to use to build their own local handboks for students.
We will update and amend the handbook, in the light of the experiences in relation to it from the pilot investigation, before we run the first phase of the Lancaster investigation in January 2004. When we have completed it, we will replace the current version with the updated one.
