Analysing RitaTask A - General interpretative thoughtsFrank:Frank seems to behave in a way consistent with our schematic expectations (this is also reflected in the way in which he is dressed in the film). He appears to be polite (for example he asks Rita if she would like to sit down) and to consider carefully the issues raised, as you would expect an academic to. Nothing in the graphology for his turns indicates a non-standard accent, and he uses standard English grammar and an extended range of vocabulary (cf. turn 29: ‘It’s supposed to embrace a more comprehensive studentship . . .’).
