kept him to ye scripture for chapter & verse for it: & keepinge
him to proue yt: one thinge hee had asserted: & in goeinge to proue

yt at last they went away confounded & coulde proue
nothinge yt they asserted:
ffor I tolde ym what ye scriptures saide of y mselues: they

After this I came through ye country visitinge ffreindes: & preist Bennett
of Cartmell had sent a challenge to dispute with mee: & vpon ye first
day I came to his steeplehouse & there found him preachinge
