Works of William Gilbert

Only four pieces of writing by Gilbert have survived, two if we discount his will and a short letter to a colleague. Of these two, he published one, De Magnete , in 1600, three years before his death. The other, a collection of manuscripts known as "De Mundo", was compiled posthumously by his half brother.
