Unpack what goes well and what goes wrong when working in a team and learn a process to set the scene for positive team culture and working in future.
How to...Week is designed for students to uncover opportunities on campus to explore their potential and purpose. It’s a week to challenge your ideas about yourself and your potential to give yourself permission to try new things to develop and grow. Click here to find out what other sessions are on offer.
You don’t always get to decide with whom you work. Even if you do, there’s no guarantee that you’ll be successful. Conflicts of interest and differing values & goals often get in the way of a team’s progress.
In this session, we’ll be a team. We’ll unpack what goes well and what goes wrong in teams we’ve been part of. You’ll leave having teamed up collaborated and worked together on a team tool and a process to set the scene for positive team culture and working.
‘I liked that the whole session was focused on teamwork. It made the session very engaging and interesting. I provided me with a taste of the team and how everyone works.’ - Engagement Fellow, Engagement Academy 1
This is a bite-sized practice-based session from our Engagement Academy Programme. It aims to engage you to develop team skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Please note that some sessions have capacity limits, and you may be put on a waiting list - sign up early to avoid disappointment, and as always, if you can no longer make a session, please email workinprogress@lancaster.ac.uk to let us know so we can offer your place to somebody else.
This event is part of the U Start project which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Northern Powerhouse scheme.
