Learn how to run a successful side hustle safely - and legally! - and find out what support Work in Progress can offer you.

How to...Week is designed for students to uncover opportunities on campus to explore their potential and purpose. It’s a week to challenge your ideas about yourself and your potential to give yourself permission to try new things to develop and grow. Click here to find out what other sessions are on offer.

Side hustles come in many forms – selling goods and services online, freelancing, blogging, tutoring, and live-streaming to name just a few.

Meet other people who already have a side hustle or who are looking to start one, gain invaluable insights about getting started, including doing it safely and legally, and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls along the way. Find out what support Work in Progress can offer such as workshops and funding to get your own small venture off the ground or even to grow it.

Please note that some sessions have capacity limits, and you may be put on a waiting list - sign up early to avoid disappointment, and as always, if you can no longer make a session, please email workinprogress@lancaster.ac.uk to let us know so we can offer your place to somebody else.

This event is part of the U Start project which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Northern Powerhouse scheme.
