C. Coleridge's reputation today is as a poet, but he was thought of in his own time as also a philosopher, and by eg JS Mill. He played a key role in introducing Kantian thought into English culture (and the fir tree into the English family celebration of Christmas).
Our concept of causality and the way we think about time mean that in the phenomenal world only those writing after Kant can have been influenced by him.
