Dinners:
- Friday Dinner. There will be the usual dinner on the evening of Friday 27 March (not included in conference fee).
This has been booked for Ceno’s restaurant on Friday at 7pm. Ceno’s is located at 119 Highfield Lane, Highfield, Southampton, Hampshire SO17 1AQ (tel: 023 8055 4400). It is attached
to the Highfield House Hotel, where some of you are staying. If you go to ‘Ceno’s Southampton’ via Google, and go onto the Google map associated with it, you will by enlarging the map
a little be able to see the University Avenue Campus, where the conference is being held, the Highfield House Hotel, Cenos, and Donnington Grove, where the buffet will be on Saturday night.
If you are going from the Elizabeth House Hotel to Ceno’s, please go out of the front door, turn left, walk to the junction and then left again. Take a bus (probably any bus will do)
from outside the Travel Lodge and ask to be put off at ‘Portswood Junction’. Ceno’s is round the corner to the left in Highfield Lane, on the corner with Shaftesbury Avenue.
- Saturday Buffet. This will take place at 20 Donnington Grove SO17 1RW. JOhn and Joan are assuming we will start to arrive around 6pm. It is 15 minutes’ downhill saunter from the conference
venue; five minutes’ walk from the Highfield House Hotel and from Ceno’s. If you are living at the Elizabeth House Hotel, I will supply you with a map for getting home afterwards.
If you come by car, could you please get a sense of how full the cul de sac is: it might be better to park just outside it; we are only 30 seconds’ walk away in the turning circle?
