Alu Azege

Project participant in Nigeria

Alu  Azege

A second-class upper theatre and Communications art graduate from the University of Jos. Tiv by birth and marriage.
Resides in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. Started off with the media only after I did my youth service in 2004 with the British Council's 'Connecting Futures'. I was deployed to 92dot 9, Radio Nigeria's Kapital FM to develop media content for young people with the aim to promote mutuality, learning and respect. This gave rise to a youth programme called generation next. A magazine programme that stirs up youth discussions, for the young and the young at heart.

Was the best serving corps member in batch 'b' that year 2004.

Was a pioneer in the making of a youth programme by the BBC World Service Trust called FLAVA, was also a roving reporter on the programme from 2005-2006 broadcast on about 30 radio stations in Nigeria.

Had a little stint with drama production particularly narrative drama and hopes to develop her creative writing. Beyond radio to the stage and screen

I have since been working as a programme maker with Kapital fm.
