His first book, The Adventures of Big Joe, was published in 2005. He freelances for several magazines on a regular basis. He was a participant in the British Council's online mentoring scheme, Crossing Borders. His story What the Oracle Said won a prize in the Commonwealth Short Story Competition in 2005. Outside writing, he is an amateur photographer, a computer programmer, a web developer and an avid chess player.
