Ruonah Godwin-Agbroko

Project participant in Nigeria

Ruonah Godwin-Agbroko has a background in Microbiology but has veered off to what she calls 'the far more exciting world of writing'. Since 2004, she has written a weekly column with Thisday newspapers and writes freelance for travel magazines What's new: A Lagos City Guide, Arrival, Made (a men's lifestyle magazine) and Sound City Blast, a youth advocacy/entertainment magazine. She has served for the last three years on the board of judges for The Future Awards, which celebrates achievements of young people. Ruonah hails from Delta State in Nigeria's Niger-Delta region. Her hobbies include reading, writing and lip-synching to music from the 80s.
