Rosemary Shimite Erazua-Oniha

 

Project participant in Nigeria

 

Rosemary Shimite Erazua-Oniha, a native of Ebu in Delta State was born in Benin. Subsequently, she  spent her formative years in Asaba, Benin and Kano. Her literary creativity trait came to the fore as a prolific contributor to her secondary school journal at The St. Louis Secondary School, Kano.  A poet and short story writer, she is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Women writers Of Nigeria (WRITA), PEN International (Nigerian Chapter), and the United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNAN). She is the erstwhile National secretary of Women Writers of Nigeria. She was recently awarded a Certificate of Merit by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), for her essay on Nuclear Weapons And Disarmament for a more peaceful world. She currently works for MTN Nigeria Communications LTD. Her works have appeared in an anthology, dailies and magazines. Her Book, Beyond River Nasa was long listed for the NLNG Nigerian prize for Literature 2007.
