Introduction

Are you ready to master the art and science of managing people? As a BSc Business and Human Resource Management (Industry) student, you will explore how people are key to business strategy and success and learn how modern human resource professionals shape the culture, performance, and future of organisations. You will examine key Human Resources (HR) practices, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement and more. You will also gain insights into the creation of innovative, inclusive and resilient workplaces.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is an internationally recognised professional body for HR and the accreditation means that students that register as CIPD student members and complete the necessary elements of the programme will become Associate Members upon graduation. You will graduate from the BSc Business and Human Resource Management with the qualities, skills and insights required to start your career. Our graduates enter a wide array of jobs and careers, from mainstream human resource management in both public organisations and private corporations to management consultancy, recruitment, project management and roles in marketing departments. Others have set up their own businesses.

Enhancing our curriculum

We continually review and enhance our curriculum to ensure we are delivering the best possible learning experience, and to make sure that the subject knowledge and transferable skills you develop will prepare you for your future.

We will publish more detailed information about the structure of this degree course for 2026-entry in June 2025, ahead of our summer undergraduate open days. This will include overviews of the core modules you will take and examples of optional modules which may be available to you.
