In April I was fortunate enough to get to present a poster at the 4th IMA and OR Society Conference on Mathematics of Operational Research in Birmingham. The poster deals with insertion heuristics for dynamic vehicle routing problems and is work that has gone towards my PhD on attended home delivery. In particular we see the potential benefits of utilising a Sum of Squared distances to construct routes quickly in parallel.
