The STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training is a collaboration between the departments of Mathematics and Statistics and Management Science. It offers students a four-year PhD programme in Statistics and Operational Research (STOR) developed and delivered with industrial partners.
Before progressing to a PhD, students initially undergo a one-year Master’s of Research (MRes) degree. This enables students to explore potential research areas and grow their skill set which prepares the student for independent research during their PhD studies.
The involvement of industrial partners is a key aspect of the programme and is very much at the forefront of the work carried out at STOR-i. This aspect of the programme gives students an opportunity to see how their research can be used to solve real world problems faced in industry
Further information about the programme can be found on the STOR-i website.
