Hi! I’m Ben…
I hail from just outside the beautiful* city of Hull in East Yorkshire and came to Lancaster in October 2021, holding an undergraduate and masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Hull. I’m currently a PhD student at the STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training, looking at stochastic inventory policies in end-of-life settings for an omnichannel retailer.
Away from the world of mathematics, I have a strong interest in sports, mainly from a viewing perspective. With my main loves being football (Man City), Rugby League (Hull FC) and NFL (New England Patriots). From an active point of view, you can find me being a sub-par runner or a sub-sub-par footballer. I also possess interests in politics, coffee brewing and films.
