Festschrift for Graham Hitch

A Festschrift, or research workshop, has been arranged to celebrate the contributions of Professor Graham Hitch to Experimental Psychology and to mark his official retirement.

There will be a series of contributions from colleagues and researchers across a variety of fields where Graham's work has had an impact. Invited speakers include Randy O'Reilly (University of Colorado at Boulder) and David Geary (University of Missouri), as well as long-time colleague Alan Baddeley (University of York).

The Festschrift takes place in Bristol on 10 July, 2012, to coincide with and precede the Bristol meeting of the EPS. Therefore, it is hoped that many will be able to combine attendance at this workshop with the programme of talks and events being organised for that meeting. Everyone is invited to celebrate and reflect on ideas and data that have shaped our discipline, both EPS members and the wider community.

The programme will be updated as soon as possible, details can be found here.

The workshop is convened by Dr John Towse (University of Lancaster) and people are very welcome to contact him for more information, and to get in touch with offers and suggestions for research posters and activities during the day. If you would like to come, please register your intention by writing to "grahamhitchmeeting@gmail.com" with your name in the email. This will help us to plan arrangements for the meeting.

Whether or not you are able to attend, you are welcome to provide messages, anecdotes or photographs so as to compile an album for Graham written by those who know him.

We look forward to seeing you.
