On Wednesday 5 March 2025, Sport Lancaster hosted a Rainbow Run in partnership with the Lancaster University Running & Athletics Club, which saw 76 participants of all ages come together to run, walk, and support Lancaster University Cancer Research UK Society.

The event raised £303.25 for Cancer Research UK, a cause close to many hearts, which will contribute to life-saving research by the charity.

A generous amount raised for the charity affirms that events like this are important in bringing people together to support vital causes.

Sam Cadwallader, Wellbeing & Engagement Manager at Sport Lancaster, commented:

“Overall, the Rainbow Run was a resounding success and lots of fun. A huge thank you is extended to everyone involved, from the runners and the volunteers to the Running & Athletics Club and the Cancer Research Society at Lancaster University, who helped make the event happen.”
