Newly Refurbished Boulder Cave and Spray Wall

The boulder cave at Sport Lancaster will reopen on Monday 10 February, after being refurbished with a repaint, new firm matting, and the installation of a brand-new spray wall.
The climbing team has completely reset all 36+ routes in the boulder cave, and the new floor matting ensures safety when landing. Customers are asked to please take care, the new matting is firmer than repeat customers will be used to. Climbers are encouraged to down-climb from heights and assess their own risks on the wall.
In addition to the revamped bouldering area, a spray wall has been installed in the area for intermediate and advanced climbers to use at their leisure.
A spray wall is a unique feature that allows climbers to practice specific moves and techniques, without the worry of a fixed route. The wall is designed to be dynamic and versatile, offering numerous angles and holds that can be adjusted where required.
The Stokt App
Spray wall users can now track their progress via a smartphone with the Stokt App. This app allows climbers to log climbs, view routes, and track improvements over time.
Spray Wall Tours, wk/c 10 February 2025
Climbers who have never used a spray wall, or want to learn more about the new addition, can attend a tour in the Climbing Wall, where the climbing team will demonstrate how to use the spray wall for your training and will give you helpful tips to improve your technique. The Stokt App will also be demonstrated during the tours.
