Re-enrolment for existing National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) participants will close on Sunday 13 April, ahead of new enrolment opening at 8am on Monday 14 April.

Sport Lancaster is proud to deliver National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes (NICAS®), a nationally-recognised introduction to climbing, providing a gateway to learning more and developing a love for the sport.

The 13-week Summer Term commences on Tuesday 22 April 2025, with a break for May Half Term (Monday 26 May - Sunday 1 June)

The NICAS sessions are split into different age groups; 7-9 yrs, 10-13 yrs, and 14+ yrs, so that the instructor can focus on the needs and abilities of each participant in the session.

Upon enrolment, participants should choose one day of the week which suits them:

7-9 years

13-week tuition: £110.50*

• Monday, 5.30-6.30pm (with the exception of Bank Holiday Monday 21 April)
• Tuesday, 4-5pm
• Wednesday, 4-5pm
• Thursday, 4-5pm
• Saturday, 9am-10pm
• Sunday, 9.30-10.30am

10-13 years

13-week tuition: £162.50*

• Tuesday, 5.30-7pm
• Wednesday, 5.30-7pm
• Thursday, 5.30-7pm
• Saturday, 10.30am-12pm

14+ years

13-week tuition: £162.50*

• Tuesday, 8-9.30pm
• Sunday, 11am-12.30pm

*NICAS logbooks can be purchased at Reception for an additional cost of £10, including certificates for each level completed. Protective NICAS Folders can be purchased for £2.50
