Event Details

The annual Lights Out! Climbing Party at Sport Lancaster’s Climbing Wall returns on Friday 8 December, between 4.30-10pm, raising funds for Climbers Against Cancer (CAC).

This event is open to registered climbers or beginners who are supervised by a registered climber. Children can be as young as 6 to climb, but will need to be accompanied by a registered adult. Climbers are classified as adults over the age of 16.

Event timings

• Early session: 4.30-7pm
• Late session: 7-9.30pm
• Raffle draw: 9.30-10pm

Children’s and Adult’s Bouldering Competitions

The boulder cave will be freshly set for the event. There will be a bouldering competition for both children and adults during the evening with prizes up for grabs for the winners, including:

The adult male and female competitions take place during the late session, and prizes include:

• 1st place: A pair of red Chilli shoes
• 2nd place: A £50 Rock + Run voucher
• 3rd place: A £30 Rock + Run voucher

The children's competitions will take place during the early session, and prizes include:

• 1st place: Chalk bags and a chalk ball
• 2nd place: Chalk ball and a brush

UV Taped Roped Routes

Especially for the occasion, there will be UV-taped lead and top rope routes.

Climbing in your Head Torch

As the lights will be out, please feel free to bring your own head torch or you can borrow one supplied by Petzl Official.

Pizza

Pizza will be provided on the night from the Fiery Mammas Pizza @fierymammaspizza

Charity Raffle

Purchase a strip of 5 tickets for £5 and be in the chance of winning prizes, all funds will be donated to CAC.

DJ

A DJ will be playing the duration of the event to soundtrack your climb.

The event is £15 to attend, and you can book tickets by calling 01524 51060, or with our customer service team at Sport Lancaster’s Reception Desk, alternatively, you can book using the online booking system.

For those who are unable to attend Lights Out! Climbing Party, there will be an Open Session taking place at Sport Lancaster's Climbing Wall from 3.30-6pm on Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 December (included in Gold or normal Wall entry.)

Booking is first come first served with a limited capacity of 40 spaces for each Climbing Party session. Please be sure to specify which session you would like to attend.
