Tab Content: College Sport

As Lancaster proudly operates with a collegiate system, each college naturally has it’s own sport teams. All nine colleges compete in regular on-campus Women’s Netball and Men’s 11-a-side Football league fixtures between each other.

Tab Content: Non-Intervarsity Sport

Non-intervarsity sport is the less competitive side of sport at Lancaster. It contains our intramural campus leagues, such as men’s 11-a-side football, women’s netball, 7-a-side football, squash, hockey 5s, basketball, tennis, and rugby. The Students’ Union also hosts zero commitment Turn Up and Play sessions, including floorball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and women’s football.

Focus Sport Programme

The Students' Union has three 'Focus Sport' clubs that benefit from a bespoke and enriched programme of support

To achieve this status, the sports clubs must strive for excellence, champion sporting opportunities at all levels of the sporting model at Lancaster University, and have a holistic, long-term club strategy.

Join a Club

The competitive sports offer at Lancaster requires students to purchase a unique Student Sport Pass, which, depending on the level of pass required, covers BUCS fees, governing body affiliation, competition transport costs, team access to Sport Lancaster training facilities, and subsidised kit from the Union’s sportswear provider, Akuma Sports Ltd.

Student Sport Passes can be purchased by individuals at the Sport Centre reception.
