Lindsay's research focuses on two connected areas: multi-agency safeguarding and engaging fathers in children's social care. Her research contributes to informing and improving justice for children and families. Lindsay's research has been funded by the ESRC and Nuffield Foundation. At Lancaster University, she is affiliated with the Centre for Child and Family Justice Research.

BSc (Hons) Psychology (Durham University); MA Social Work & PhD Applied Social Sciences (Lancaster University)
Current Teaching
Since 2020, Lindsay has held a teaching leadership role in overseeing Lancaster University's partnership with the largest social work charity in England (Frontline), for delivery of a national postgraduate social work education programme.
