Join us in the picturesque, historic city of Lancaster to explore a variety of approaches and media about major environmental and social challenges of our times. These challenges include but are not limited to using creative, multimodal and visual media in research methods, theory and pedagogies to tackle: sustainability, AI, climate emergency, poverty, inequality, diversity, wellbeing, place-based and object-based learning, utopia and dystopia, posthumanism and sociomateriality, digital environments, and associated approaches as linked to SDGs.
We welcome contributions from academics, professionals, artists and diverse practitioners for a) classical individual papers/presentations, b) visual exhibits papers/presentations (to include a printable or wall-display-friendly visual exhibit that can be exhibited inside the conference space, and act as the focus of the presentation, such as photographs, posters, collages, paintings, etc.), and c) panels (with 3-5 speakers).
