Our aim is to develop and maintain relationships with businesses and other organisations via collaborative research partnerships, the co-location of businesses, a range of student-based projects, professional training and the commercialisation of IPR.

We have a wide range of services and routes to collaboration and our experienced team aim to help each business find the specific expertise and solutions they need. As part of a wide multidisciplinary team, we can also draw on additional support from across Lancaster University and beyond.

We engage with Parliament and Government. In an era characterized by increased geopolitical tensions and complex technological changes, our research inform debates about key policy areas from defence to cyber security to citizen protection.

  • Training and Education

We provide organisations with a wide choice of ways to engage with students to benefit from their up-to-date skills and knowledge. Organisations can access expertise from across our science and technology disciplines.

  • Office Space and Residencies

Our award-winning buildings enable global environmental, knowledge-intensive businesses to co-locate onto the Lancaster University campus and work alongside our cutting-edge researchers in a unique collaborative environment. Base your entire company on campus, just your R&D staff, or take a hot desk when you need it.

  • Business Collaboration

Whether a business, public sector body or community organisation, Lancaster University has the expertise, the facilities and the commitment to help shape and achieve your objectives. Creating win-win relationships at the local, regional, national and global levels is our goal.

  • Product Development and IPR

We believe that the early development of outcomes from research is best achieved by universities who pursue the commercialisation of the intellectual property (IP) they create for the public good and then transfer it as soon as appropriate to the commercial sector.

  • Funded Research

Register your interest now to be one of an exclusive group of over 80 ambitious businesses to benefit from an intensive three-year programme of funded research and development (R&D) with Lancaster University.
