Security Lancaster Institute – Co-Director opportunity

The Security Lancaster Institute (SL) are seeking a new Co-Director to co-lead one of Lancaster’s interdisciplinary flagship research institutes which focusses on multi-disciplinary security and protection research.

The Role

As one of the two Co-Directors of Security Lancaster, you will work in partnership with your fellow Co-Director to develop and deliver the University’s cross disciplinary strategy and activity in Security research. You will lead and represent the many interests of Security Lancaster to both internal and external stakeholders. You will build cross-disciplinary teams of researchers, lead or co-lead large research bids and support other colleagues.

  • By the University Charter, the two Co-Directors must belong to different LU faculties, so this role is open to FST, LUMS and FHM colleagues.
  • This is a 0.5 FTE appointment and it is required that this commitment is discussed by the applicant with their respective HoD before making an application.
