The aim of the programme is to provide students with a unique opportunity that builds on the relationship between our two organisations and in so doing, circumvents the need for individuals to enter national recruitment processes. The programme will appeal to students who have a desire to work in the energy sector on exciting and rewarding projects.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any student or former student of Lancaster University is eligible to apply. For current students, this can be taken as a year-out, through what is known as intercalation. Intercalation allows a temporary suspension of student status for a number of reasons. If your academic department offers a sandwich course, this may fulfil that element. For those who are about to or have already graduated, this could provide a step into working in the energy sector.
What will I be paid?
Salary is in the range of £15K.

Further Information and Networking Event
We are hosting an informal event for students to find out more information, with the opportunity to learn more about the company and the roles, including talks from successful members of the 2017/18 scheme. This is a great opportunity to understand how to make a strong application as well as what EDF are looking for in their future workforce. It will take place on the lunchtime of Tuesday 4th December at 12:00hrs in the Training Rooms in the Faculty of Science and Technology. We are also offering Q&As to the audience with refreshments and informal networking. For this reason, only students who have registered on Target Connect before the event will be eligible to attend (registration closes at noon on Friday 30th November). Due to high interest at previous events, early booking is strongly advised.
