Dr Eva Maire
Honorary ResearcherResearch Overview
Eva's research tackles issues in coral reef systems using both ecological and social-ecological approaches and involves field and lab work, statistical models and spatial analyses.
Her current work examines the role fish can play in food and nutrition security.
A first research theme assesses how climate change and overfishing can affect the nutritional value of global fisheries.
A second theme aims to determine the ecological and environmental determinants of nutrient availability from fish to better understand the nutritional contributions small-scale fisheries make to human health in the Indo-Pacific.
