Undergraduate Teaching Labs

The SCC Cyber Labs

Our cutting-edge education facilities are designed specifically to support training the next generation of computer science and cyber security specialists.

We believe labs are a core part of any computer science education and at Lancaster we have invested over £4m to create a brand new suite of undergraduate teaching laboratories for use by SCC students. Co-created with our students, the new labs include support for large-scale data visualisation, software engineering, compute-intensive tasks, cyber-physical systems and cyber security programming all in a highly customisable environment designed to enhance the student experience. We have also ensured that all of our labs are designed to accommodate a maximum of 48 students - ensuring that your lab experience is always in the context of small class sizes.

One of the largest educational facilities of this type in the country, our investment underpins the University's ambitions to support the growth in regional, national and international demand for experts in computer science, data science, software engineering and cyber security.
