Christina Bremer
ResearcherResearch Overview
Christina Bremer is a postdoctoral researcher in the Socio-Digital Sustainability group, where she is working on Net0Insights, a multi-disciplinary project led by researchers at Lancaster University working alongside major industry partners; as part of the project, she is developing and designing digital tools that help reduce energy consumption.
Christina’s PhD research explored the energy-saving potential of digital behaviour change and efficiency interventions, taking into account building baseload, rebound effects and user behaviour. More generally, Christina feels excited about research that holistically addresses the environmental and societal impacts of digital technologies.
Before joining Lancaster University, Christina obtained a BSc (Hons) Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh and an MSSc Human-Computer Interaction from Uppsala University.
