Silicon Valley talks
Professor Plamen Angelov (Computing and Communications) recently gave 3 invited talks in Silicon Valley, USA; an IEEE Distinguished Lecture entitled ‘Towards Anthropomorphic Machine Learning: How to get Fast, Interpretable Deep Learning’ at Intel, Santa Clara as well as a talk at the Ford Research and Innovation Centre at Palo Alto. Plamen also gave a talk at the home of the social media, the HQ of the company Facebook at Menlo Park.
Following his Silicon Valley trip Professor Angelov also co-organised and co-chaired a workshop on Human-centered Machine Learning at NeurIPS, in Vancouver which was well attended and included speakers from Google Brain, Microsoft, IBM, Harvard, MIT, Cambridge.
