These webpages explain how those processing personal data for research purposes can meet the requirements for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 that both apply in the UK from 25 May 2018.

If relevant details change as both pieces of legislation are embedded in practice, then these webpages will be updated. Any major changes will be communicated to researchers but individuals should check these pages regularly as researchers are responsible for conducting their research with integrity which includes complying with all laws and regulations.
