Cyber

  • Secure Growth Blackburn

    Secure Growth Blackburn is designed for Blackburn based organisations, looking to develop their knowledge on cyber security best practices, to help mitigate threats and risks. From learning about different types of cyber threats to understanding the importance of the current threat in the cyber landscape, our speakers will cover a range of content to help your organisation to stay safe through our online workshop.. Funded by UK Government via the Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and led by Blackburn College.

  • North West Cyber Com

    NW CyberCom is a £1.2 million project aiming to unlock the cyber security potential of the North West. Funded by Research England.

  • Cyber: Trustworthiness, Design and Careers Project

    This programme offers the opportunity for the farming community to increase awareness of cyber security and the technologies they can use to manage their agricultural businesses. Funded by UK Government; DSIT.

  • Cyber Foundry

    Through workshops, technical developments, student internships, and masterclasses, the Cyber Foundry equips SME business leaders with the tools to navigate cyber security's evolving landscape. This project is funded by UK Government; DSIT.

  • Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI)

    This project is funded by UKRI InnovateUK, led by Manchester Metropolitan University and in a consortium with other North West HEIs & FEIs.

Innovation

  • Cumbria Accelerator Driving Innovation – Westmorland & Furness (UKSPF)

    Working in partnership with Enterprising Cumbria, Lancaster is providing innovation support to SMEs in Westmorland and Furness seeking to improve productivity by engaging with student Innovation Associates on 1-2 month projects and providing internship opportunities to develop innovative solutions to firm-level challenges.

  • Lancashire Universities Innovation Programme – Preston (UK SPF)

    The project, in collaboration with UCLan and Edge Hill Universities, is supporting regional businesses to innovate and grow through a selection of interventions. Lancaster is delivering a 4-month programme, “Digital Acceleration for Professional Services” to legal and accountancy firms in Preston to support them with the adoption of digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence to streamline working practices.

  • Lancashire Universities Innovation Programme – Burnley (UK SPF)

    The project, in collaboration with UCLan and Edge Hill Universities, is supporting regional businesses to innovate and grow through a selection of interventions. Lancaster is delivering a the “Good Growth” programme over 3-months senior decision-makers in Burnley to support them on their growth journey, aligning with the principles of sustainability and the Good Dividends model.

  • Westmorland & Furness - Green Enterprise Hub

    Carbon reduction and sustainability support for businesses through student projects, workshops and events. Funded by UK Government via the Shared Prosperity Fund, led by Cumbria action for Sustainability (CAfS).

Past Projects

Lancaster University has successfully delivered a portfolio of European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund, Regional Growth Fund, Local Growth Deal, EIT Food, Interreg IVB, Interreg IVC, and Interreg Atlantic Area projects. Activity has been delivered across European Priority Axes in the Lancashire, Cumbria, Liverpool City Region, and Cheshire and Warrington LEP areas between regional and sub-regional delivery models across funding rounds.
