Why You Need To Look After Yourself

Taking care of yourself is extremely important. Some relatives feel that they have to focus all their attention on taking care of the person with psychosis or bipolar. They don’t give any time or energy to caring for themselves.

The problem is that you can then start to experience your own problems with sleeping, feeling tired etc. This can be very distressing for you. You are also less able to help your relative and the rest of your family or friends.
