The George Inn, Hubberholme, Langstrothdale.

One of the few locations Fox identifies from his journey through the Dales was the house of ‘one Tennant’ — Scar House, Langstrothdale. Even that is only mentioned as an afterthought to his arrival at Major Bousfield’s in Garsdale.
The George Inn at Hubberholme, with its back to the road, was the vicarage. On the opposite side of the river up a considerable slope is Scar House.
