Uncertainty, Curiosity and Learning

A child looking at novel objects in the ICDL

We specialize in research on curiosity and learning throughout the lifespan.

Our work examines the cognitive processes that enable humans to explore their environments and seek out relevant information, how learning becomes optimized through experience, and when and how these processes develop during infancy and how people decide who to learn from and share information with. To investigate these questions, we employ a range of methods, including behavioural analysis, eye-tracking, physiological measurements, and computational techniques.
