Victoria Simpson

PhD student

Profile

I am a PhD student, funded by the Faculty of Science and Technology Teaching Studentship. My research interests lie within the fields of developmental and social psychology. I’m particularly interested in prejudice towards social norm challenging groups, e.g., gender non-conforming groups and “dietary deviants” such as vegans. My current research examines children’s understanding of food production and diet-related prejudice.

I also have a strong interest in seeking ways in which we can empower children and young people to mitigate the worst effects of the climate and ecological crises.
