Jessica Pepper

Senior Research Associate, PhD student

Profile

I am a third-year PhD student in the Psychology Department at Lancaster University, funded by the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership on a 1+3 studentship. Supervised by Dr Helen Nuttall in the Neuroscience of Speech and Action laboratory, I conduct cognitive neuroscience research centred around multisensory integration and ageing. Specifically, I use techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), accelerometry and psychophysical tasks to investigate how our brain processes visual and auditory information, how this changes as a function of healthy ageing, and the resulting impact on perception and action.
