PPE Availability
At this time, the demand for PPE is greatly increased and we are doing what we can to keep the University fully supplied. For Facilities staff, the Maintenance Stores are keeping stocks of hand sanitiser, wipes and PPE required. For staff in other parts of the University, please order through Procurement as normal. We have set up lines of supply with the following suppliers. Please use the University’s existing marketplace or supplier website to check the latest stock position.

For gloves, supply is particularly constrained, please contact Amanda Fryers, Labs Buyer via MS Teams or email if you need help to secure supply on gloves or other products.
Face visors- for staff who may be teaching students reliant on lip reading at close proximity and wish to wear a transparent visor in place of a mask, a number of visors have been ordered and will be distributed via each Faculty. FHM staff can pick up from LEC stores, LUMS visors can be picked up from Carol Atkinson. For FASS and FST, please ask your Faculty Manager for local arrangements.
Hand Sanitiser- 500ml bottles of hand sanitiser that departments can use in addition to the sanitising stations already provided by Facilties at building entrance points. Pick up from Physics, LEC or Maintenance stores.
Additionally, here is a statement of the national stock position for HE Framework Suppliers as of 19th October. Please note that Arden Winch, Direct Corporate Clothing, LA Safety Supplies and CMT Group are not set up in our Finance Systems but you can request an order via credit card. Procurement hold credit cards for this purpose.
