Delivering nature and energy together
As a society, we are facing mounting climate and ecological crises. The need to reach Net Zero while providing sufficient resources, including food and housing, for changing populations and protecting and restoring nature risks conflict over land and water body use. We need to develop new approaches to producing affordable, healthy food and low-carbon energy while safeguarding the environment and the vital services it provides, for the benefit of economy, environment and society.
Power for Nature is a research and practice collaborative for applied research to support the development and implementation of novel approaches to renewable energy which mitigate the climate and ecological crises. It is underpinned by scientific knowledge from across disciplines and practitioner expertise. With a particular focus on solar, we aim to explore ways of enhancing biodiversity and promoting investment in nature-positive renewables.

Power for Nature will generate a new understanding of opportunities around nature-positive renewables. From managing solar farms to enhance biodiversity to supporting new investment opportunities around nature-positive renewables, we will work collectively to share this knowledge across policy, practice and business, to benefit the economy, environment and society.
