The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) have launched an educational resource that covers the Fundamentals of Sustainability for accounting students.

Students can be studying anywhere in the world and be at any level in their studies to access this on-line programme.

The programme is free and is made up of four modules that cover an introduction to sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals; the application of sustainability thinking to a variety of accounting settings and a case study of sustainability in practice.

Each module includes mini-lectures to the topic area by Professor Jan Bebbington of the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business at Lancaster University as well as reading resources and interviews with accounting practitioners.

To register an interest in taking the programme as an individual (or to explore how you might teach this material to a class) see - ICAEW Fundamentals of Sustainability Programme | ICAEW
