This year's competition is set to take place over one evening on Tuesday 11th March and bakers will present one 'showstopper' piece to be tasted and judged by a panel.

This year's competition is set to take place over one evening on Tuesday 11th March and bakers will present one 'showstopper' piece to be tasted and judged by a panel. There will be no baking facilities at the competition event and so all bakes will be prepared in your own kitchen and transported to campus for judging. You are welcome to present anything within the category of baking including cake, pastry and bread. Participants will be responsible for providing their own ingredients and equipment to prepare their bake.

Showstoppers will be partly judged on connection to the theme which, this year, will be '60 Years of Lancaster University' in celebration of the University's 60th Anniversary Year. We want to see anything that celebrates Lancaster University and what it has achieved in the last sixty years; you can interpret this brief however you choose.

Participants should be available to present their bake on Tuesday 11th March in Fylde Common Room. Please don't start purchasing ingredients etc until your place in the competition has been confirmed.
