Access statement

Our workshops are open to all staff and may be targeted at a particular staff group e.g. researchers, professional services staff. Please read the event information carefully to ensure that the workshop is appropriate for you. Places on our workshops are usually allocated on a first come basis and if the event is oversubscribed you will be put on a waiting list.

We deliver a number of programmes that run over several months with places allocated through an application process. We ensure that we make the eligibility criteria for these programmes transparent, and selection is based on meeting the criteria. We can provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates and will suggest appropriate, alternative development.

Participation in Organisational Development opportunities should be supported by your line manager in conjunction with your PDR conversations.

We aim to make our workshops and programmes as inclusive as possible. We will make reasonable adjustments when required to ensure that our offer is accessible to all staff. Please do get in touch should you need any other support, by emailing od@lancaster.ac.uk.

Cancellation policy

OD covers the associated costs of our programmes and workshops. These costs are not transferred to participating staff however, we do apply a cancellation policy.

Workshops

We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable; however, if there is no option but to cancel, please do so directly through LibCal or by emailing OD. We ask that you cancel your place at the earliest opportunity and preferably 5 days in advance of the event to allow someone else to attend in your place. Departments may be charged up to £100 for no-shows.

Programmes

Please ensure that you can fully commit at the time you accept your place on the programme. Withdrawals are disruptive to other colleagues and are costly. If there is no option but to withdraw, please email od@lancaster.ac.uk. OD re-charge up to £500 to departments to cover fees and delivery costs for withdrawal or non-completion of these programmes.
