In honour of International Women’s Day.
The Academy for Gender Equality and Social Justice Research in Organisations is delighted to host this.
The Academy has been incredibly busy working on exciting and impactful projects over the last few years, such as the TARGETED-MPI project. The key objective of the TARGETED-MPI project was to develop and implement Gender Equality Plans to tackle inequality in business and management schools with partner universities in Europe and the Middle East. The project was completed in October 2024. Therefore, we would like to invite you to this event and share some of the team's experiences of working with LUMS’ EDI team in developing and implementing LUMS’ Gender Equality Plan in its six areas of intervention: 1. Gender Disaggregated Data Development, 2 Career Development, 3. Work-life Policy, 4. Communications, 5. Culture and Values, and 6. Gender Equality Awareness. We will also share some of our key outputs and discuss the future of this work as part of LUMS' Gender Equality Observatory.
The Centre would also like to use this particular day to celebrate the retirement of our Emerita Professor Valerie Stead, who has been a valued member of LUMS for over 20 years and the founder of the the Academy in LUMS in 2008.
