Seminar - How to Catch Professional Online Fraudsters? The case of Online Romance Fraud

Cybercrime has become more prevalent than traditional crime. One promising way to catch professional online fraudsters is to focus on offender-victim dynamics. Professor Siponen uses real cases of Online Romance Fraud (ORF) as an example to show how victim and offender communication can be dynamically modelled in other cybercrimes for preventive purposes. He will also explain how cybercrime syndicates work.
